Manual sack stacking is the heaviest task on the floor and the hardest to cover on the second shift. A palletizing cell does it the same way all shift, every shift — and with Robotix the robot is ours: we install it, maintain it and monitor it for a monthly fee.
Palletizing and stacking
The end of the line at a sugar mill, a cement plant, a flour mill, a fertiliser producer or a bottling plant: 42 to 69 kg sacks, shrink-wrapped packs or boxes that someone lifts, turns and stacks onto a pallet, eight hours a day. It is the heaviest task on the floor, the one with the highest turnover, and the hardest to cover on the second shift. It is also the best fit for an arm: the movement is the same every time and the pallet pattern is fixed.
- What we measure: units per hour, weight, stack height and pallet pattern.
- Typical product: sugar, cement, flour, coffee, fertiliser, concrete block and beverage packs.
- Typical equipment: a high-payload palletizing robot with a sack gripper, vacuum end effector or pack gripper.
- A good sign: a single line, a single load format and a stable pallet pattern.
- Logtix monitoring included in the fee: the cell is watched from our control centre.
When a palletizing robot fits
These are the signals we measure during the technical visit. If your operation ticks most of them, the task probably fits.

A stable load format
Sacks, packs or boxes with consistent dimensions and weight. Recipe-driven format changes work; unpredictable formats do not.

A defined pallet pattern
The stacking pattern is programmed and repeated. Different heights and patterns per product are handled as recipes.

Volume that supports the cell
The fee is measured against the cost of the shift it covers. A line that runs a few hours a month has nothing to measure against.

Room at the end of the line
The cell needs its safety envelope. During the technical visit we measure the real layout, not the drawing.
